Petal Check Shirt

The Petal Check Shirt is handwoven from 100% handspun khadi cotton and coloured with natural plant dyes: a generous gingham check in dusty rose and white, the squares large and confident at roughly 32mm across.

Handspun, handwoven khadi

Every metre begins as hand-spun yarn and is woven on a handloom. The slubs and the slight waver in the grid are the loom’s signature, not a flaw. Khadi breathes in a way mill cotton does not, and softens with every wash instead of wearing out.

What makes the Petal Check Shirt different

Gingham is usually a small, busy check. This one is deliberately scaled up, so the shirt reads as calm blocks of colour rather than a pattern that buzzes. The pink is a soft dusty rose from a plant dye, never hot or candy pink, and the third tone where the two bands cross gives the cloth its depth.

Natural dyes

The colour may bleed a little in the first few washes and will soften over the first year. That gentle fading is how naturally dyed cloth is supposed to age.

Fit and styling
